Take The Jump!

We are so excited to announce one of two new interns for the summer, Fran Caviedes. Fran approached us wanting to diversify her skill set and gain experience with account management and digital marketing. She stood out against our other applicants with her outgoing personality, charisma, previous experience, and her eagerness to learn. This summer, she will be working alongside JRS President/Founder, Joe Skibbie, on all things account management, digital marketing, SEO, administration, and much more.

Fran’s favorite activity is skydiving with friends.

Fran is a rising junior at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with a major in Advertising and a minor in Art + Design. In the past two years at the University of Illinois, she focused on the creative side of her advertising degree by providing local clients with videography and graphic design work through the American Advertising Federation: a student run organization on the UIUC campus. One of her designs will be the new logo for a local food truck in Champaign starting next year.

Originally from Chile, Fran is also a fluent Spanish speaker and attended an international school until she moved to the U.S. at eight years old. Being constantly immersed in different cultures, Fran grew a love for travel. To date, she has visited eleven different countries around the world and does not want to slow down anytime soon. Her next adventure is traveling to Pamplona, Spain to study at the University of Navarra this upcoming fall. Her favorite thing to do in her free time is to go skydiving with friends as she received her skydiving license last year and currently holds 30+ jumps. Fran is an outdoor-lover and a self-proclaimed avocado enthusiast. Her favorite food is Thai yellow curry and recommends everyone should try it.

Among other things, Fran’s main project at JRS this summer will be working on the Arlington Heights 5K Santa Run. This is one of our favorite philanthropic events held by the Rotary Club every year in December. We are so thrilled to have Fran on our team and cannot wait to see what this summer has in store!
