JRS Mar/Com’s New Project Coordinator, Sameer Sheikh

JRS Mar/Com introduces the newest member of their team, Sameer Sheikh. Sameer joined our team in August 2025 as a Web Developer/Content Administrator. Based in Chicago, Sameer is a recent graduate from Illinois Institute of Technology, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 2023. Experienced with data engineering, cloud infrastructure, social media management and digital graphic design and marketing, Sameer is excited to embark on the next step of his journey at JRS.

Sameer has previously served in communications and media leadership roles at Illinois Tech, where he managed social media campaigns, created branded content, and enhanced engagement across multiple platforms. Most recently, he worked as a Cloud Infrastructure Services Engineer at UST Global, supporting enterprise-scale Amazon Web Services solutions for various clients. He also formerly contributed to digital strategy as a Quality Assurance Intern at Oigetit Fake News Filter, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and brand alignment in content delivery.

Sameer holds a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, a Korean martial art. He currently serves as an assistant instructor under the World Tang Soo Do Association at Fighting Hawk Tang Soo Do, a martial arts studio at his alma mater, Illinois Tech. Sameer also operates and handles all of Fighting Hawk’s social media pages.

I’m looking forward to expressing my creativity and learning about the field of marketing and communications during my role at JRS. Most importantly, I’m excited to work with and be part of a tight-knit and productive team.”
