There is no doubt that the way people live, work, and buy will has been altered by our response to COVID-19. According to a recent report by Accenture, the outbreak has changed people’s routines. New habits and behaviors are emerging that may continue long past the pandemic.
Some of these are expected, like the uptick in online purchases from large retailers like Amazon. Others are less expected, such as increases in conscious consumerism that may favor local and small businesses. The lockdowns and social distancing measures, though, have accelerated the shift by consumers from on-site to virtual visits.
